2007-10-06 [Kshatriya Karahatay]: I don't know, I think it [Vampire Akis]'s entry could fit, depending on how you see it. If you figure that Adam and Eve partook of the fruit because they were greedy and wanted the fruit and the knowledge for themselves (and look at all the trouble the sin of greed has caused) it could work. I know it's somewhat different from the typical take on them, but I think it could fit.

You're not portraying Greed in an apparent way though. This is about seeing an image where the sin is apparent and you can understand it without a long text accompanying it. The apple depicts the original sin and not one of the seven deadly sins.

Disqualification is only if you're off theme or your picture is not of good quality (Sketch, no background etc) although in this competition the background rule was omitted, we still won't be accepting sketches or bad quality pictures (bad scannings, on lined paper etc) There's everything you need to know in the front page :)

2007-10-30 [Jitter]: The background rule is usually there so the images look more finished. So having a coloured background instead of a white one makes it look more complete, even though if it's just some added colour.

When I was a kid I was way more creative :( I had much more ideas and ways to "solve" stuff about art. I feel that was somehow smothered at GD school and for ages I just tried to do everything the "right" way they indicated. It didn't help at all so now I just work again with the way I feel more comfortable with (Which is not pencils dammit xD)

Yes, I'm more of a digital artist. I recently discovered acrylics which I find very nice to work with but I'm way better at digital :) *points jitter art*

I got very into acrylic..well i thought it was..it looked acrylic..but i actualy read it months later and it said 'concentraited water colour'...in other words, water it down to use right . 0_0

2007-11-06 [Jitter]: Yeah I know, although it really depends. For example I have taken some photos or made scans of some of my traditional pieces that I find they're of much better quality than what my digital work ended up as x)

Digital is nice but since you're already very good with your mediums I'd suggest if you decide to go digital, you'd better get a program like Corel Painter that provides digital painting tools similar to the traditional, although I wouldn't part with Photoshop ^^ I feel I'm slowing myself down by trying to excel to both at the same time but at points I'm just sick of the one or the other medium x)
